What Is VAHSA?

The Vietnamese American High School Alliance (VAHSA) is comprised of high school VSAs (Vietnamese Student Associations and similar groups) across Los Angeles County and Orange County, California. The vision of VAHSA is to foster and promote activism and leadership in the community among high school students, in order to create cultural and political awareness and appreciation. To accomplish this vision, our mission is to build a high school network in order to foster leadership and promote community and social events. VAHSA consists of an Executive Board, Inter-Club Council (ICC), Advisory Team, and general members. VAHSA operates under its parent organization, Hearts For Vietnam

The vision of the Vietnamese American High School Alliance is to foster and promote activism and leadership in community amongst high school students, in order to create cultural and political awareness and appreciation.

Our Goals

• Bringing together students from different  high schools to build unity and solidarity between Vietnamese American youths in Southern California, in the United States, and in the international Vietnamese community.

 

• Representing the diverse and dynamic Vietnamese youth population by encouraging interaction, participation, and activism in the Vietnamese American community 

• Promoting awareness of the Vietnamese culture, language, and history 

• Encouraging a growth of leadership and service amongst Vietnamese youths
